He has a dog called Dali, a small animal he found on the street on a particularly rainy day. It isn’t a special breed or anything, just a tiny black pup with enough love for the whole wide world. Icarus saw && heard the said dog weeping ( honestly weeping ), on a street corner from his way back home && decided he just couldn’t leave it there. Asides from the rampant rain, the poor thing was apparently sick, as the vet said before giving him a bunch of medications. It took him a month to cure the animal and after that many days with him, he was in too deep to throw it back on the street. He had promised his roommate that he would find a home for him, — however, apparently nobody he knew wanted a stray, ( and that fact made him feel a lot more worse ) so he decided to keep it and name it Dali. It’s a huge responsibility, he knows && his roommate was less than happy about it ( after the carpet incident ), but Icarus loves the animal and he loves him back, thus all is fine in the end. ( Dali just needs to tone down the barking a little whenever someone new comes in their flat though. Neighbors have already started complaining and Icarus likes their flat “please stop getting so excited buddy, nobody’s going to hurt us” )

Icarus does most of the stuff he regrets on a whim. He tried joining a band as a drummer && going on tour one summer — ended horribly because apparently, they sucked. He tried fencing once ( because sports, hell yeah ), and that ended up in scars, he has a permanent one on back of his forearm ( he is still planning to find a cool story for that ). When he first got a microscope kit as a Christmas present, he took samples of anything && everything before he realized they looked just like, you know, dots. The only thing that ‘stuck’ was what he did all along, art. So considering, he’s pretty confident in what he does right now. He still fears sometimes because of the whole stereotypical ‘starving artist’ thing, but at least he’s doing something he loves.
