Amelia nodded at him, complying with his request, and trying hard not to seem like she was trying too hard. Which it definitely felt like she was. She tilted her head, and continued looking at her book, mindlessly reading lines that had no real meaning to her. She’d have to go through everything once more when she got home. What a waste of an afternoon.

Her eyes flashed to his rapid movements, and, despite her prior feelings, she could not help but be entranced by how quickly and precise his hands moved. He obviously knew very well what he was doing, and she was suddenly filled with excitement to see what the end result would be. “Do you always give away your pieces? Or is this a special occasion?”

Letting out a laugh at her
          question, he looked up for
          a second as he replied.

                    “More of a special
                    occasion. I usually
                    don’t bother people
                    this much. Surprising,
                    right ?”

          Slightly more comfortable, the
          artist quickly continued the
drawing, a grin on his face.
He still felt guilty, of course
he did, he had just ruined her
          day. However, she didn’t look
as upset as she had been &&
          that was certainly something
that relaxed him even a little.
